Trainees' Outreach Programme: Instructions for workshop leaders

You have committed to running 2 workshops before the end of 2018, thank you:

  • one in your local region
  • one in your speciality (either a journal club or a parallel session in a speciality conference)

Learning outcomes:

The aim is that, by the end of the session, participants will:

1)    Understand the role of Cochrane and why it is relevant to trainees
2)    Be aware of ways in which trainees can get involved with Cochrane
3)    Be able to develop a relevant clinical question (PICO)
4)    Be able to appraise the validity of an interventional systematic review
5)    Be able to interpret key findings of an interventional systematic review

Checklist for Outreach Workshops:

  • Please allow all participants five minutes at the end to fill in this online feedback form. This can be done on their mobile phones or computers. The feedback is anonymised and will be fed back to you. Those who provide their email addresses will be followed up next year to assess the impact of the workshop on their clinical practice and patient care.
  • Take a picture of each session and email it to: trainees4bestevidence@cochrane.nhs.uk
  • Let us know when you have completed your two workshops by emailing: trainees4bestevidence@cochrane.nhs.ukYou will then receive a letter from Cochrane UK to thank you for your participation in our Outreach Programme.
