Medical trainees based in the UK or Ireland with an interest in evidence-based medicine and the work of Cochrane can now apply to join the Cochrane UK and Ireland Trainees (CUKI Trainees) Advisory Group 2022-2023.
Please note: the deadline for applications (31st December 2021) has now passed.
The Cochrane UK and Ireland Trainees (CUKI Trainees) Advisory Group, which was set up in 2015, works to improve trainee engagement and involvement with evidence-based medicine and systematic reviews in general, but with the work of Cochrane in particular.
Today's trainees are the future leaders of the NHS and clinical academia in the UK, and Cochrane UK believe that helping them to understand, use, and produce evidence is a sound strategy for continued improvements in health care.
If you are a medical trainee (defined here as a doctor who has qualified but who has not yet taken up a consultant post or substantive post in general practice) and you have an interest in evidence-based medicine and the work of Cochrane, you can now apply to join the 2022-2023 CUKI Trainees Advisory Group.
The Group has the following aims:
- To consider new ways for trainees to be involved with the work of Cochrane across the UK and Ireland
- To collaborate with Cochrane UK to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of activities to engage trainees across the UK and Ireland
- To advise Cochrane UK on matters relating to trainee engagement, providing input, as required, into Cochrane UK’s ‘Trainee Engagement Plan’.
