iHealthFacts. Health claims – fact checked

Evidence Synthesis Ireland, Cochrane Ireland and the Health Research Board-Trials Methodology Research Network (HRB-TMRN), are based in NUI Galway. Together with their Partners and Evidence Advisors they developed ihealthfacts.ie.

iHealthFacts (@ihealthfacts1) is a resource where the public can quickly and easily check the reliability of a health claim circulated by social media. The aim of iHealthFacts is to provide robust, unbiased information. Unreliable claims can lead to poorly informed choices and iHealthFacts provides an online platform where people can check the current evidence for health claims, helping the public to use evidence to make informed decisions about their own health.

This session was recorded during the 'Virtually Cochrane' conference, hosted by Cochrane UK and Cochrane Ireland, 20-22nd April 2021.
