Anne Daly is a member of the Public Advisory Panel for Public and Patient Involvement (PPI Ignite @NUI Galway)
Following a career in Quality Systems, Anne changed direction and is now a self employed Nutritional Coach specialising in Diabetes. This fulfilled a lifelong dream of giving something back after living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 50 years. She has a strong interest in health research and believes that those living with chronic conditions and those coming after us, who will have similar or different health conditions, depend on health research to enable us to live healthy lives. She wants to ensure that the voice of the patient and public shapes and influences health and social care research. Anne is an active member of PPI Ignite @NUI Galway and draws on her life experience to bring the voice of the public/patient to health researcher and takes part in events to promote Public and Patient involvement in Research.
Anne spoke at 'Virtually Cochrane', a virtual event we co-hosted with Cochrane Ireland in April 2021. Watch the recording iHealthFacts. Health claims – fact checked
