Job opportunity: We are looking for an Information and Administration Assistant!

Cochrane UK is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team at the UK Cochrane Centre in the role of Information and Administration Assistant. This is a key role within a small, friendly team, providing support to the Information Service within the Cochrane Centre, retrieving and recording information on the impact and use of Cochrane reviews as trusted healthcare evidence. 

Main responsibilities include information retrieval from online research databases, data entry and general office administration support.

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • A good working knowledge of common computer software packages
  • Keen interest in learning new skills 

This is a full-time band 3, NHS employed position, based in Summertown, Oxford. It would suit a highly motivated individual, who works well as part of a team and is keen to contribute to a global effort to produce reliable, accessible healthcare evidence.

Cochrane UK is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and hosted by the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. The centre supports the production of Cochrane systematic reviews through a learning and development programme. We aim to maximize the impact of Cochrane reviews by disseminating the findings widely to health professionals, researchers, commissioners, the public, charities and the media, through social media, events, presentations and partnerships.
