Anne-Marie Bagnall is Professor of Health & Wellbeing Evidence and Director of the Centre for Health Promotion Research at Leeds Beckett University. She has over 20 years’ expertise in evidence synthesis methodology, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews and rapid evidence assessments, in health services research, health technology assessment, public health and health promotion. Her recent work focuses on community health and wellbeing, social connections and the social determinants of health, and includes reviews for NICE, Macmillan Cancer Research, the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, the Centre for Ageing Better, Public Health England and WHO Europe Health Equity Network.  She's been delivering training workshops for Cochrane UK since the early 2000s, when she worked at the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at University of York, and has developed methodological guidance on synthesis of qualitative research and practice-based evidence for the What Works Centre for Wellbeing.
