Who is organising Virtually Cochrane?
Cochrane UK and Cochrane Ireland are hosting Virtually Cochrane in April 2021, as a replacement of the annual Cochrane UK and Cochrane Ireland Symposium.
Is the event restricted to the Cochrane community based in the UK and Ireland?
No, the event is open to the global Cochrane community and everyone involved with, or interested in, planning, doing, sharing and using health and healthcare evidence.
How can I join the event?
After registering for the event, you will receive a confirmation email with further information. Approximately one week before the event, you will be sent a link to access the virtual event platform.
Will the sessions be recorded?
Yes, all the sessions will be recorded and made available in the virtual event platform. Even if you cannot join live, you will still be able to watch the recorded sessions in your own time. In total, there will be over 14 hours of content that you can access on demand.
Can I access content after the event?
As long as you are registered for the event, you can access the event live, or up to one month post-event via the platform.
What is the ‘Project Hub’?
Besides the live sessions, you will be able to access more content in the ‘Project Hub’. This will feature short videos and presentations for featured projects.
Do I need to download any software to join the event?
The virtual events platform will run from your web browser. You will be able to access from your computer or mobile device. Please use Google Chrome to open the link and access the platform.
Is the registration fee refundable?
Conference registration cancellations received in writing before 11th April 2021 will be refunded in full, less bank service charges. See Registration Cancellation Policy for more details.
I only plan on attending one day. Can I pay for one day only?
No. Once you register for the event, you will have access to all the live session and recordings for one month. There isn’t an option to have access to only part of the content.
Several of my colleagues and I are registering for the event. Is there a special group rate?
No, the discounted rates are only available to full-time students and delegates from low-income, lower-middle-income, and upper-middle-income economies as defined by the World Bank. Patients, carers, patient advocates, and members of the public can register for free.
I would like to register more than one person. Do I need to complete individual registration forms?
The registration form allows you to register more than one person at once. Please make sure you have all the information you need from your colleagues, such as name, country of residence, role, email address and any special requirements.
Will I receive Continuing Medical Education credits for attending Virtually Cochrane?
