Symposium 2017 Poster Submission

We should like to invite poster proposals for the Cochrane UK & Ireland Symposium 2017.  Posters will be displayed for the duration of the symposium and will bring together participants for a practical learning session on a range of engaging topics.  We invite posters that are topical, engaging and intriguing.  We are interested in proposals covering the entire pathway of evidence synthesis, including systematic review production, methods and dissemination.  The deadline for poster submissions is 14th February 2017. By this date, please submit an abstract for your poster to: general@cochrane.nhs.uk

Instructions for poster abstracts

  • Abstracts must be submitted via email by February 14th
  • Abstracts should not be longer than 300 words.
  • Abstracts should be structured as follows: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions. If your abstract does not fit into this format, please choose alternative headings that are appropriate.
  • The abstract title should not be longer than 20 words.
  • If abbreviations are used, the abbreviated term should be written out in full the first time it is used.

Poster sessions:

Poster sessions will happen during the refreshment and lunch breaks on both days of the Symposium.

Size limitations:

  • The poster size should be A0 paper size
  • Posters are displayed in portrait format (not landscape)
  • Posters will be placed on one side of each poster board. Please do not exceed these dimensions - posters that do not fall within size limitation cannot be posted.
  • Please bring A4 copies of your poster with you to share with interested delegates

Registration

  • It's a requirement that at least one poster author is registered for the Symposium by 14th February 2017. If not, your poster will not be displayed

Poster printing

  • Please bring the poster with you (as hard copy) to the Symposium
  • We cannot offer onsite printing at the venue

Do I need to register if I am a presenter?
Yes, all presenters need to register by 14th February  2017 and pay the registration fee. Register here.

Can I make changes to my abstract?
Please contact general@cochrane.nhs.uk if you need to make changes to your abstract.

What is the size of a poster?
The poster size should be A0. Posters are displayed in portrait format (not landscape)

When and where can I hang up my poster?
Please check the number of your poster and hang up your poster to the allocated poster stand between 9am-12noon on the 14th March.
